SERVE

SERVING BY GRACE

Biblical service is the humble overflow of a life transformed by Jesus Christ, rather than a pursuit of personal ambition. Rooted in Calvary Chapel’s Distinctives, it is the process of being "fed" by the Word to faithfully build up the Body through the power of the Holy Spirit rather than human effort.

CCBF—The Barn—maintains an intentional process to ensure all those who serve understand and align with the specific doctrinal, spiritual, and philosophical beliefs of Calvary Chapel. To serve, each adult must complete the following prerequisites:

  1. The Distinctive Classes: All volunteers are required to complete these classes prior to serving. This foundational training provides the essential background for why we do ministry the way we do at Calvary Chapel. Whether attending in person or watching online, these four classes illustrate why our service must be rooted in a shared commitment to verse-by-verse teaching and a reliance on the Holy Spirit over human effort. They also provide a helpful overview of the various ministries and service opportunities available at CCBF.

  2. Ministry Application: Upon completion of the classes, you must submit a formal application for the specific area where you feel called to serve.

  3. Background Check — For those 18 years & older

"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." — 1 Peter 4:10

MINISTRY APPLICATION

STEP IN FAITH
