THE PURPOSE

The Discipleship Classes are meant to:

• Plant us – By teaching in depth on specific areas of Biblical learning. It is so important to study the Word of God.“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – II Timothy 2:15.
• Please God – If we want to get a ‘good grade’ in school – we study. A teacher is not going to ‘approve’ if we are always goofing off. In the same way, we show we are serious about our faith in God by studying the Word!
• Prepare us – So we are not ashamed. We labor in the Word – because we never know when we might have an opportunity to share the Gospel. Not that God needs us to have a degree – but it is certainly to our advantage to be students of the Word!
